Iran short film ‘Not Yet’ to participate at New Zealand festival

Iranian short film ‘Not Yet’ has been scheduled to go on screen at the 12th edition of the Show Me Shorts Film Festival in New Zealand.

Directed by Ariyan Vazirdaftari, The 15-minute film is about Hasti who has just turned 21. She studies abroad and her parents in Iran want to congratulate her online.

The short film had its national premiere at the 33rd edition of the Tehran Short Film Festival in November 2016 in Iran, winning the award for best fiction.

Founded in 2005, Show Me Shorts is New Zealand's leading international short film festival. It screens a selection of short films from New Zealand and around the world in cinema theaters nationwide each Spring.

To be launched on October 28, 2017, the event will continue for some three months in different parts of New Zealand. The final regional screening of the event is slated for January 24, 2018.
